GAS LINE CALL ONE OF THREE RESPONSES TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Tuesday.
Around 6:30 a.m., units were called out to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, 700 Medical Parkway, for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, they found nothing showing from the exterior of the building, and they ultimately discovered that an electric outlet was causing the burning smell. Firefighters spoke with maintenance on scene before returning to service.
At 2:15 p.m., BFD members were dispatched to the 500 block of Dark Street for a gas line struck. They made location and found a contractor had hit a two-inch gas line. The City of Brenham Gas Department clamped the gas line, and firefighters cleared the scene.
Approaching 4:15 p.m., the fire department responded to a fire alarm at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street. Units found a pull station activated with no fire or smoke, so they reset the pull station and the fire alarm.
