TWO ACCIDENT CALLS, FALSE ALARM WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday.

At 10:30 a.m., firefighters went out to a transportation incident at Highway 290 West and FM 389.  They arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.  The department cleaned up the fluid spill, and once the roadway was washed off, units returned to service.

Just before 2:15 p.m., units were called out to another transportation incident, this one at H-E-B, 2508 South Day Street.  They made location to find a two-vehicle accident with the vehicles moving into a parking lot.  After finding no injuries, personnel cleaned the roadway off before clearing the scene.

Approaching 10 p.m., the department received a report of an alarm sounding at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street.  Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building, and no smoke or fire was found inside.  Firefighters reset the alarm and returned to the station.
