MULTIPLE WARRANT ARRESTS AMONG SEVEN BOOKINGS FOR BRENHAM PD OVER WEEKEND
Seven people were arrested by Brenham police between Friday and Sunday.
Around 8:15 p.m. Friday, Officer Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Old Independence Road. Investigation revealed the driver, identified as 42-year-old Cristal Reyes De Avila of Houston, showed to have three active warrants. De Avila was placed into custody on warrants of Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Bail Jumping and Theft of Property. After she was medically cleared, she was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
On Saturday, just before 7:30 a.m., Officer Torres conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. During the course of the stop, it was discovered that the driver, 51-year-old Benito Dominguez of Houston, had local traffic warrants. Dominguez was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in.
Close to 8:15 a.m., Officer Jackson conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Highway 290 West. During the stop, police discovered that the driver, 42-year-old Ryan Reed Follis of Bellville, had a warrant out of Galveston County for Harassment. Follis was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
At 6 p.m., Officer Morong responded to the 2500 block of South Day Street in response to an agency assist requested by Washington County EMS. Police say their investigation indicated that 67-year-old Brian Keith McCoy of Burton was highly intoxicated and was being uncooperative with EMS personnel. McCoy was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and taken to the Washington County Jail.
Around 8:30 p.m., Lieutenant Eilert conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Gun and Rod Road. The driver, 19-year-old Brayan Stiven Castellanos Aguilar of Brenham, was notified of the violation and was also shown to have an active Class C warrant for No Driver’s License. Aguilar was subsequently arrested for the warrant and transported to the Washington County Jail. He was also issued a citation and warning for the observed traffic violations.
Nearing 9:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a complaint located in the 500 block of College Avenue. The calling party reported that her boyfriend, 23-year-old Johnny Biggs III of Brenham, was allegedly damaging property and preventing her from calling 911 for emergency assistance. The property was communal since both were leasing the residence. Biggs was located in the 4000 block of Highway 36 South, where he was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Interference with an Emergency Request for Assistance.
At 3:15 p.m., Officer Jackson initiated a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Blue Bell Road for no front license plate. The driver, 25-year-old Caleb Thompson of Brenham, was run through dispatch and found to have an active warrant for Use of Equipment Not Approved/Window Tint, Lights, Reflections, Safety Glass, Etc. Once the warrant was confirmed, Thompson was taken into custody, searched and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
