BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA & CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, DWI
Brenham police booked three people into jail on Tuesday.
Just after 6 a.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson initiated a traffic stop for expired registration in the 2200 block of South Market Street. After police conducted a probable cause search, the driver, 25-year-old Lamontra Moore of Brenham, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Expired Registration and Failure to Maintain Liability Insurance. Moore was also found to have an active warrant out of Municipal Court for Speeding. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Shortly past 8:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of South Blue Bell Road. Police say the driver, 30-year-old Ryan Frazier of Chappell Hill, had a warrant out of Municipal Court for Running a Stop Sign. Frazier was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Around 4:15 p.m., Officer Ramon Torres initiated a traffic stop in the 900 block of South Market Street for expired registration. After conducting a field sobriety test and a probable cause search of the vehicle, police took the driver, 28-year-old Garrett Wayde Spears of Brenham, into custody. He was booked for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container, Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
