LEE CO. GO TEXAN FUNDRAISER JUNE 27-28
Lee County Go Texan is preparing to host its annual Barbecue Cook-off and Scholarship Fundraiser.
The event will take place next Friday and Saturday, June 27th and 28th, at the Silos on 77 in Giddings.
Teams in the barbecue cook-off will compete in contests for brisket, pork ribs, chicken, beans, bloody marys, margaritas and open event.
The cook-off is limited to the first 50 teams, but the event is open to the public. Cash prizes will go to the winners of the cook-off, which is also the qualifier for the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
In over 30 years, the Lee County Go Texan committee has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to high school seniors in Giddings, Dime Box and Lexington.
