WASHINGTON CO. FIRST RESPONDERS HONORED BY BRENHAM AMERICAN LEGION
Outstanding first responders in Washington County were recognized last week by American Legion Post 48 in Brenham.

The American Legion presents awards annually to members of the Brenham Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Brenham Fire Department and Washington County EMS in honor of their dedication and service to the community.
Detective Andrea Guerra was named the Officer of the Year from the Brenham Police Department.
Deputy Adam Zavala was chosen as the Officer of the Year from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephen Draehn, Volunteer Assistant Chief for the Brenham Fire Department, won Firefighter of the Year.
Zachery Muehsler was selected as Paramedic of the Year from Washington County EMS. Tanner Jacob accepted the award on Muehsler’s behalf.
