LITTLE LEAGUE SECTIONALS RECAP AND MATCHUPS

In Little League All Stars Sectionals action on Wednesday Washington County faced Smithville in minor softball action while Washington County faced Lufkin in the 11U tournament.

Washington County's 11U baseball team was sent down to the elimination bracket after a 5-1 loss to Lufkin and will now play Western Hills again in a rematch tonight.

In minor softball the game was delayed due to weather and while the game began and made it to the 2nd inning with Washington County leading 2-0, it was ultimately postponed to Thursday.

Washington County will be looking to avoid elimination against Western Hills in 11U baseball and for a win against Smithville in minor softball to avoid a decisive game 3. The minor softball matchup will be broadcast on KWHI AM1280 FM101.7 or via streaming on the KWHI app and KWHI.com with pregame starting at 5:30pm.
