‘HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES’, SUMMER SHOWCASE KICK OFF SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
A summer filled with live music in downtown Brenham begins tomorrow (Saturday).
The 21st edition of the City of Brenham/Main Street Brenham’s “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” gets underway at 7 p.m. on the courthouse square with the return of the Austin cover band, Suede, performing a range of hits from the ‘70s to today.
Concertgoers can also check out the Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in at the west end of Alamo Street. Food and drinks will be available at local businesses and vendors.
Suede’s performance is sponsored by Dahmann and Associates, Brenham National Bank, Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Seidel Schroeder.
Before the start of the main concert, the Alamo Alley stage will be open from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with music from country musician Henry Williams, kicking off the “Summer Showcase” series hosted by the Visit Brenham Washington County Destination Marketing Organization. Free Blue Bell ice cream floats will be served while supplies last.
All of the performances are free to the public.
