WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO VOTE ON CONTRACT ITEMS FOR SOUTH MEYERSVILLE ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT
Washington County Commissioners will take up several items on Tuesday in relation to the county’s project to build a bridge on South Meyersville Road over New Year’s Creek.
Commissioners will look to authorize the execution of a professional services contract between the county and Strand Associates, Inc. as it pertains to the project. They will also vote on an amendment to the technical services agreement with Strand Associates and executing a task order to that agreement for bridge design.
The county was previously approved for $1,119,800 in grant funding through the Texas General Land Office’s Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Program. The storm bypass project will address the lack of road access that occurs during flooding in the eastern portion of the county.
Also on Tuesday, the court will act on the purchase of eight Simunition Sig P320s from GT Distributors for $14,229, using sheriff’s office forfeiture funds and Law Enforcement Office Standards and Education (LEOSE) training funds.
Additionally, commissioners will consider a bond renewal for Elections Administrator Carol Jackson and hear a formal notice from GeoSouthern Operating LLC for a temporary lay-flat water line along the county right-of-way on Wolf Creek Road in Precinct 3.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
