McCAUL ‘CONCERNED’ ABOUT BRENHAM POST OFFICE DELAYS
U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul is aware of recent troubles with package delays reported at the Brenham Post Office.

Office on Thursday reads that the office has a
backlog of over 11,000 Amazon packages and asks
for customer patience.
KWHI reached out to McCaul’s office last week after a sign was posted by the front door of the post office building, alerting customers that the facility was “dealing with an Amazon backlog of over 11,000 packages” and asking for patience as it works through the high volume.
McCaul on Monday shared a brief statement:
“I’m concerned by reports of mail delays in Washington County. Constituents rely on timely mail delivery for everything from medication to bills. That’s why my office is working diligently to coordinate with USPS, get to the bottom of these delays, and assist individuals in locating their packages.”
McCaul encourages anyone who is having problems with mail delivery to reach out to his casework team at mccaul.casework@mail.house.gov or contact his College Station district office at 979-431-6480.
Local residents and officials have expressed frustration regarding post office operations and staffing. The post office and USPS have not provided a formal statement in response to the situation.
THE POSTAL SERVICE NEEDS TO SET ONE DAY A WEEK ONLY TO DELIVER SALE AND ADD BROCHURES MATERIAL. I CAN SEE A CARRIER HAVING TO STOP AT EVERY BOX ON A DAILY BASSIS FOR JUNK MAIL THAT I I’M GOING STRAIGHT TO THE BURN BARRELL BEING A REASON THE REAL MAIL THAT NEEDS TO GET THROUGH SLOWED DOWN.
“Concerned.” The Congressman has known the Brenham Post Office has been out of date since he was first elected. It is frustrating that we only seem to get a pat on the head and a statement that he is “concerned.” Instead of “concern” how about we actually see the term “action” or “solution” included in a statement from his Office.
With McCaul, if it were in Ukraine, there would have already been a new one built.
He already knows the problem, they need the money and the staffing to get the job done right. IT’S NOT THE WORKERS AT THE POST OFFICE. IT’s the people way up top and their slow response or lack there of.
