BRENHAM POLICE MAKE WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR AGGRAVATED ROBBERY WARRANT, THEFT, TERRORISTIC THREAT
Seven people were arrested over the weekend by the Brenham Police Department.
Shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, Officer Garrett Downs observed a wanted person while conducting a close patrol in the area of the 800 block of Mangrum Street. The subject, 33-year-old Vodrick Earl Britton of Brenham, was known to have an active warrant for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, issued out of Washington County Court at Law. Britton was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Just before 12:45 a.m. Saturday, an officer patrolling the 200 block of Lott Lane made contact with an individual identified as 26-year-old David Sweed Jr. of Navasota. Sweed was arrested for active warrants issued out of Washington County Court at Law for Criminal Mischief and Assault Causing Injury to a Family Member. Sweed was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Around 6 a.m., Officer Downs conducted a follow-up investigation at a residence in the 300 block of Sayles Street. Investigation determined that an individual, identified as 37-year-old Catarino Zamora-Esquivel of Brenham, was on location, which police say caused him to violate his conditions of bond. Zamora-Esquivel, according to police, was out on bond and had a condition prohibiting him from being within 200 yards of the residence. Zamora-Esquivel was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Violation of Bond.
A few minutes after 8:15 a.m., Officer Brayten Rolling executed a warrant service in the 1500 block of Clay Street. Officers made contact with 23-year-old Rodarius Montrell Laderyl Franklin of Brenham, who was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail without incident for an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Robbery, issued out of 21st District Court.
Approaching 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Officer Downs was dispatched to the 2100 block of Highway 290 East for a report of an unruly juvenile. Investigation revealed that the mother of the juvenile, identified as 37-year-old Caprice Hudgen of Ledbetter, showed to have six active warrants for her arrest, including one for Theft and five traffic warrants, those being for two counts of Driving While License Invalid, Failure to Control Speed, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Failure to Appear/Bail Jumping. Hudgen was booked in at the Washington County Jail.
At 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of South Market Street in reference to a theft in progress. Officers located the suspect vehicle and identified the driver as 37-year-old Lashalla Monique Williams of Cedar Creek. Investigation indicated that Williams’ driver’s license was invalid. Williams was placed into custody for Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions and Driving While License Invalid.
Just shy of 9 p.m., officers responded to a complaint call near the 1800 block of Longwood Drive. Police arrested 33-year-old Sonny Marks of Brenham for Terroristic Threat of a Family/Household Member and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
