BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM SPEAKER SERIES PROGRAM TO DISCUSS HISTORY OF TEXAS SEMI-PRO BASEBALL

The Brenham Heritage Museum’s next Speaker Series program will focus on Texas’ legacy with baseball.

Historian Mike Vance will present “Batter Up: A History of Texas Semi-Pro Baseball” on Tuesday, August 26th from 6 to 7 p.m. The program will be held at the Post Office museum building at 105 South Market Street.

Vance, who is currently involved with the effort to create an interactive sports exhibit at the museum, will share information and stories about how semi-professional baseball came to life across Texas, both in small towns and in large cities.

Sports-related books will be available for purchase at the event.

Admission is free for museum members and $10 for all others.  A members-only reception will be held at 5:30 p.m.
