HARMONIE HALL HOSTING 150TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AUG. 23
Harmonie Hall in Shelby invites the public to come celebrate a major milestone.
The hall is marking its 150th anniversary after being founded for Shelby’s “Harmonie Verein” German singing society, which was established in 1875. Through the years, the hall has been a regular destination for community events and activities.
To commemorate the anniversary, the hall is hosting a dance and celebration on Saturday, August 23rd.
Doors to the hall will open at 1:30 p.m. for games and drawings. Meals of sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes and baked beans will be served from 3 to 8 p.m. The Blue Denim Band will provide entertainment from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The meal and dance are offered for a free-will donation. All other activities are $1. A cash bar and set-ups will be available.
