BRENHAM FD RESPONDS AFTER VEHICLE STRIKES PEDESTRIAN
The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Friday, including an accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
Just past 8:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a transportation incident at North Park Street and Northview Circle Drive, where they found a male patient in the roadway.
The department provided lighting for the scene, cleaned the roadway off and helped EMS with patient care.
No further details could be provided on how the accident occurred or the condition of the patient, but the fire department did say the incident is not believed to be criminal in nature.
The department’s other call on Friday came at 3:30 p.m. for a fire alarm at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South. Nothing was showing from the outside of the building, and units found a bad smoke detector was causing the alarm to go off. After resetting the alarm, they returned to the station.
