CUBETTES BATTLE THROUGH WESTWOOD VOLLEYBALL SHOWCASE

The Brenham Cubettes opened the Westwood Showcase on Thursday with a mix of highs and lows, finishing the first day 1-2 before continuing play into Friday.

Brenham started Thursday with a 2-0 loss to the Celina Bobcats, then bounced back impressively with a 2-0 sweep over the Lockhart Lions. The Cubettes wrapped up the day against the New Braunfels Unicorns but fell short in another 2-0 loss.

The team returned to the court Friday and picked up a strong 3-0 win over the Brentwood Christian Bears to open the day. However, they couldn't keep the momentum going, falling 3-0 to the Glenn Grizzlies in their second match.

The Cubettes will wrap up the weekend and the Westwood Showcase on Saturday.
