NAVASOTA MAN ARRESTED AFTER ‘BOMB-MAKING MATERIALS’, NARCOTICS SEIZED IN OPERATION

  

A Navasota man faces multiple charges after a multi-agency operation that led to the discovery of narcotics, stolen items, weapons, and materials to make bombs.

Grimes, Brazos and Walker County law enforcement units, along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), executed a search warrant on Friday on County Road 319 near Navasota.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says officials seized “large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, stolen vehicles, firearms, and bomb-making materials.”

The operation led to the arrest of Rodney Drake Jackson of Navasota, who has been charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Stolen Property and Tampering with Vehicle Identification Numbers.  Additional charges are pending, as investigation is ongoing.

Agencies involved included the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office TACT Team; Grimes County Precinct 1, 3 and 4 Constables Offices, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and the ATF.
