BRENHAM & BURTON ISDs REPORT INCREASES IN OPENING ENROLLMENT

  

Opening enrollment for Brenham and Burton ISDs looks to be on the rise when compared to the start of school a year ago.

According to data provided by Brenham ISD, enrollment as of Tuesday was 4,675 across all seven campuses, up from 4,598 at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year. 

Per numbers from Burton ISD shared this (Wednesday) morning, the district has 654 students enrolled, up from 622 at last year’s start of class.

At individual Brenham ISD campuses, enrollment is largest at Brenham High School, which has 1,510 students.  Brenham Junior High School has the second-most students at 751, followed by Brenham Middle School at 729.  Krause Elementary School has the most students of each of the three elementary campuses at 587, with Brenham Elementary School tallying 499 and Alton Elementary School with 435.  The Early Childhood Learning Center has 164 students. 

Making up Burton ISD’s total is 397 students at Burton Elementary School, which houses Pre-K through 6th grade, and 257 students at Burton High School, which accommodates grades 7-12.
