WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO VOTE ON ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH BRENHAM ISD

  

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday to take up a contract with Brenham ISD for the 2025-26 tax year.

The annual contract allows the school district to perform all duties of the appraisal district.  It also designates the individual who is employed by the school district as the tax assessor-collector to serve as chief appraiser of the appraisal district.

The cost of the contract is equal to the appraisal district’s budget.

Also at the meeting, the board will vote on approving budget transfers from one category to another, in order to pay outstanding invoices.

An executive session will be held for the purpose of discussing security devices or security audits.  Any action will take place in open session. 

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office in Brenham at 1301 Niebuhr Street.
