CRASH CALL ONE OF THREE RESPONSES MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FD

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Monday and one early this (Tuesday) morning.

One of the calls was for a crash with entrapment, reported shortly before 9:45 p.m. Monday at 10 FM 1155.  Members of the Brenham Fire Department and Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department made location to find a one-vehicle accident.  Units provided lighting for the scene and helped remove the patient from the vehicle.  The patient’s condition was not immediately available.

The department’s other two calls on Monday were for gas odors, including one a few minutes before 1:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Thiel Street and the second at 6 p.m. in the 1500 block of Church Street.  For both calls, firefighters and the City of Brenham Gas Department responded and checked the area for a leak or smell, but after investigation, the fire department was cleared from the call.

Just shy of 1:15 a.m. today, BFD members were dispatched to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, 700 Medical Parkway, for a fire alarm.  The alarm was found to be malfunctioning.
