98TH ANNUAL FAYETTE CO. FAIR GETS UNDERWAY THURSDAY
The 98th Annual Fayette County Fair is all set for this weekend.
From tomorrow (Thursday) to Sunday, the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange will host livestock events, live entertainment, a carnival and many other activities.
Opening ceremonies will take place tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. and will lead up to the queen’s scholarship pageant, featuring the announcement of the Fayette County Fair Queen. The Airplane Band will perform afterwards.

On Friday, the featured musicians will be Royce Reed, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, Fender Bender, and Erik Y Grupo Massore.
Saturday will have a parade in downtown La Grange at 10:30 a.m., with a theme of “Paradise”. The evening’s entertainers will be Ken Brothers, Reagan Hicks and Hudson Westbrook.
Sunday will close out with Chris Winkler, The Bandits and Mark Wills.
Other events throughout the weekend will include a clown show on Saturday and Sunday, mutton bustin’, a petting zoo, a country store, creative arts exhibits and train rides for the kids.
