The Blinn College men’s soccer team fell to No. 5 Tyler Junior College 4-0 in a Region 14 tilt Thursday at Rankin Field in Brenham, Texas.

The Buccaneers dropped to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in region play.

“It was great to measure ourselves against such a strong side as Tyler today,” Blinn head coach Michael McBride said. “They are where we aspire to be. Today’s game in a nutshell comes down to this: Good teams punish mistakes.”

The Apaches got on the board in the 31st minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Tyler added goals in the 47th, 63rd, and 79th minutes.

The Apaches out-shot the Bucs 13-8.

Blinn sophomore goalkeeper Noah LeMaster made four saves.

The Bucs get back to work with a region bout against Jacksonville College at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Rankin Field.
