CUBETTES GO 2-1 ON FINAL DAY OF LEGENDS INVITATIONAL

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team went 2-1 on Saturday, which was the final day of the Legends Invitational in Bryan.

Brenham got off to a rough start with a loss to Shadow Creek in two straight sets (25-4 and 25-13). Hannah Bush and Antyiahna Lang had three kills each. Brinley Benson dished out six assists. Logan Hayslip finished with four digs.

However, the Cubettes bounced back with two straight wins. First, they defeated Georgetown East View in two straight sets (30-28 and 25-22). Bush led the offense with seven kills. Benson dished out 13 more assists. Hayslip led the defense with nine digs.

Brenham wrapped up the weekend with a 2-1 win over Victoria West. The Cubettes won the first set 25-16, Victoria West won the second set 25-13, but then Brenham won the third set 25-16. Lang had a big game with 15 kills. Benson dished out 20 assists. Hayslip led the defense with 18 digs, while Zoe Zwerneman also reached double digits with ten digs.

Next up, Brenham (16-10) will be traveling to Bellville High School this (Tuesday) evening for a three-team match against Floresville and Bellville.
