TWO BRENHAM MEN ARRESTED IN NAVASOTA ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES
Two men were arrested in Navasota on Thursday following the discovery of drugs and firearms in their vehicle.
Navasota Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle just before 11am in the 1400 Block of East Washington Avenue.
During the traffic stop, an NPD officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, which led to a probable cause search.
The search led to the discovery of THC, and more than 400 grams of promethazine with codeine, methamphetamine, Xanax, and three firearms.
26-year-old Jose Jones and 20-year-old Cado Traylor, both of Brenham, were arrested and taken to the Grimes County Jail in Anderson.
Jones was charged with two counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Traylor was charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
