NEW ULM VFD CELEBRATION SET FOR SEPT. 21
Preparations are underway for the New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department’s 74th Annual Celebration.
The public is invited to come out to New Ulm Firemen’s Park on Sunday, September 21st for a day of fun in support of the fire department.
A barbecue beef and pork lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. The drive-thru line opens at 10:30 a.m., and meat will be sold to-go starting at 10 a.m.
Other activities to look forward to will be silent and live auctions, prize drawings, a moon walk, kids’ games, a cake walk and a plant walk.
Meals are $15 for adults and $8 for children 6-12 years old.
Proceeds from the event will support the fire department by helping it to purchase firefighting equipment.
The fire department is also accepting donations of auction items, cakes, plants, desserts and children’s toys for the celebration. Donations can be given to any department member or dropped off at the park between the hours of 2 to 4 p.m. on September 19th, 9 a.m. to noon on September 20th, and before noon on the day of the event.
