WALLER COUNTY FAIR ACTIVITIES STARTING ON SATURDAY

Eight days of activities at the annual Waller County Fair in Hempstead begins this weekend.
The Fair Parade thru Downtown Hempstead gets underway Saturday morning at 10am. That will be followed by the Little Mister and Little Miss Waller County contest at 12 noon at Edmonds Hall.
At 5pm, they will be honoring Chuck Scianna and Butch Edmonds for their past contributions to the Waller County Fair. That will be followed by the announcement of the Fair Queen and Court.
The Fair Queen Candidates are Edi Wood, Madison Jackson, Kaegyn Mosely, Madison Plaisance, Shelby Wood, Elyssa Pruner, Zoie Parish, and Raelee Hacke.
Saturday’s musical entertainment will start at the Wagon Wheel with Clayton Reagan from 2-5pm, followed by Chaser Crouch from 6-9pm, and end on the main stage with William Clark Green and Southall from 9pm-12:30am.
On Tuesday, September 30, they will be holding a Senior Citizen’s Health Fair. They will also be having Tejano music with Taco and Margarita in the Wagon Wheel from 6-9pm.
The Carnival opens on Wednesday, October 1. That evening will also feature “Wine Down Wednesday,” a wine tasting event featuring local wineries at the Wagon Wheel.
Musical Entertainment continues on Thursday, October 2, with Cole Annoot at the Wagon Wheel from 6-9pm. Then on the main stage, Matt Mercado will perform from 9-10pm, and Neal McCoy will follow from 10:30pm-midnight.
On Friday, October 3, Texas Special will be at the Wagon Wheel from 6-9pm.Trent Cowie takes the Main Stage from 9-10pm, followed by Josh Weathers from 10:30pm-midnight.
The event wraps up on Saturday, October 4, with the Junior Livestock Auction and the Walk of Champions.
Musical entertainment will start at the Wagon Wheel with Austin Flematti from 2-5pm, followed by the Bout to Git Western Band from 6-9pm.
Then on the Main Stage, it will be Kate Watson from 9-10:30pm, and Easton Corbin from 10:30pm-midnight.
