SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS SEVEN ON CHARGES INCLUDING DRUG POSSESSION, CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made seven arrests over the course of the weekend.
On Saturday, shortly after 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver in the 9900 block of Highway 290 West. Upon making contact with the vehicle, the sheriff’s office detected a strong odor of marijuana and, upon conducting a search, located marijuana and prescription medication that was not issued to any of the vehicle’s occupants. All three who were in the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking. 21-year-old Koda Cea Hubbard and 27-year-old Mariah Irelle Ratcliff, both of Houston, were each charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. 31-year-old Cierra Rainer Jacobs of Houston was charged with Public Intoxication.
A few minutes past 7 a.m., Corporal Albert Vasquez was dispatched to the county jail for a subject wanting to turn himself in on an active warrant. Upon confirming the warrant, 64-year-old Michael Lee Hardman of Hempstead was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief $750 - $2,500.
Just after 9:30 p.m., Deputy Matthew Presswood responded to a disturbance in the 12900 block of FM 50. A male subject, identified as 58-year-old John F. McDonald of Brenham, was located walking along the highway. According to the sheriff’s office, McDonald was found to be intoxicated, so he was taken to the Washington County Jail for Public Intoxication.
Close to 10:15 p.m., Sergeant Corey Himebaugh conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Burleson Street for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to drive in a single lane. The driver, 18-year-old Roderick Manuel Nolan of Washington, reportedly did not possess a driver’s license and could not provide proof of insurance for the vehicle. Nolan was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for No Driver’s License.
At 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Corporal Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Highway 290 West for no front license plate. While making contact, the sheriff’s office reported detecting a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana and other contraband. The driver, 18-year-old Nehemiah Jakavian Watson of Katy, was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Minor in Possession of Alcohol, No Driver’s License and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
