BRENHAM FIREFIGHTERS CALLED OUT FOR THREE ACCIDENTS BETWEEN WEDNESDAY, EARLY THURSDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday and one early this (Thursday) morning.
At 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters were called out to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, units were advised by staff that the alarm was due to a fire alarm drill, and there was no emergency.
Around 11:15 a.m., the department was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Highway 290 West. Personnel found no injuries to either party involved. They remained on scene to provide traffic control for the vehicle disabled in the roadway until the wrecker service arrived.
At approximately 2 p.m., BFD members went out to a crash with entrapment in the 13200 block of Highway 290 East, near the county line. While enroute, units from the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department determined the vehicle was on the Waller County side, and Waller County emergency crews were already on scene. Chappell Hill cancelled all Brenham units.
At 6 a.m. today, BFD members responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road. There, they found a two-vehicle accident. Crews provided a safe working area for first responders, as well as traffic control for the vehicles disabled in the roadway, until the wreckers made location.
