SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, DEADLY CONDUCT
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported two arrests on Monday.
A few minutes after 6:45 a.m., Corporal Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of FM 1697 for a defective brake light. Upon making contact, Corporal Crosby observed drug paraphernalia, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of marijuana. The driver, 23-year-old Daniel Hernandez of Houston, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of No Driver’s License and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
At approximately the same time, Deputy Christopher Holmes was dispatched to the county jail in reference to a subject who was there to turn themselves in on active warrants. 19-year-old Jose Martinez of Brenham was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm.
