BRENHAM FD RESPONDS TO TWO ACCIDENTS, ABANDONED VEHICLE IN POND
The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Saturday and once early Sunday morning.
Around 7 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were dispatched to a crash in the 1100 block of North Park Street. They made location to find a two-vehicle accident with minor damage and provided traffic control until the roadway was back open.
Close to 11:45 a.m., the fire department went out to another crash, this one at East Academy and North Market Streets. There, they found a two-vehicle accident with minor damage. Personnel provided traffic control until the roadway was cleared.
Approaching 12:45 a.m. Sunday, members of the Brenham Fire Department and Gay Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to a welfare concern in the 700 block of Pledger Road. Crews found an abandoned vehicle that was located in the middle of a pond. Units remained on scene on standby until they were released by law enforcement.
