ROUND TOP-CARMINE XC ADVANCES TO REGIONALS

The Round Top-Carmine Cub and Cubettes Cross Country Teams will be moving on to Regionals after they both finished in second place at the District 29-A Meet in Fayetteville.

For District Competition, the top three teams, and the top ten individual runners advance to the next round.

On the Boys Side, the top three teams were Dime Box, Round Top-Carmine, and North Zulch.

Individually, the top ten runners were:

1.) David Gutierrez, Dime Box

2.) Tyler Kolenovsky, Fayetteville

3.) Caden Tovey, Round Top-Carmine

4.) Wali Afshar, North Zulch

5.) Wesley Sapp, North Zulch

6.) Anthony Mendez, Buckholts

7.) William Neese, Round Top-Carmine

8.) Gavin Benge, Dime Box

9.) Connor Fricke, Round Top-Carmine

10.) Kyle Iselt, Dime Box

Meanwhile, on the Girls Side, only two schools had enough runners for a full team. So North Zulch and Round Top-Carmine advance.

The top individual finishers were:

2.) Hayden Kasmiersky, Round Top-Carmine

3.) Alyssa Lawson, North Zulch

4.) Dayna Medina, North Zulch

5.) Cayle Velez, Buckholts

6.) Saige Gasaway, Fayetteville

8.) Kasyn Jordan, North Zulch

9.) Morgan Nelius, Round Top-Carmine

10.) McKenna Hanson, North Zulch

The Regional Cross Country Championship will be held next Monday, October 20, at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
