WoodmenLife Chapter 4645 teamed up with Brenham High School athletes recently to help spruce up Hohlt Park.

It was the fifth year for the “Giving Together” program, which was locally organized by WoodmenLife Representatives Russell and Amanda Kohring.

WoodmenLife along with members of the Brenham Cub Baseball Team and the Brenham Cubette Softball Team volunteered their time at Hohlt Park to take part in several projects.

According to City of Brenham Public Works Director Dane Rau, there were over 40 volunteers that turned out to help.

The tasks for the day included planting two new trees, cleaning the park information signs, and re-zip tying the fence toppers on all the fields.

Rau thanked the volunteers for their hard work. He added that their assistance helped the Parks Department staff to keep the facility vibrant and well maintained.
