CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO MONTGOMERY IN FIVE SETS 3-2 ON DIG PINK NIGHT

For the fourth time in district play, the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team pushed an opponent to the fifth and deciding set only to come up just short.

The Cubettes fell to Montgomery 3-2 last (Tuesday) night at the Brenham High School Gym.

Montgomery won the first two sets 25-16 and 25-16. The Cubettes battled back to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-23. However, Montgomery won the fifth set 15-6 to take the match.

The loss drops Brenham to 23-17 overall, and 2-7 in district eliminating them from playoff contention.

The Cubettes are back in action on Friday, where they will travel Huntsville for a 6pm match.

Last night was also the Dig Pink Night fundraiser in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Prior to the game, fans who have been affected by breast cancer on both sides, were presented with flowers. They also held several drawings to raise money for the Side Out Foundation.
