CADENCE BANK NAMES MIKE MUELLER PRESIDENT OF NEW BLUEBONNET DIVISION
Cadence Bank has named Mike Mueller as the president of its newly created Bluebonnet division.
In the position, Mueller, who has 39 years of banking experience, will oversee 17 branches recently acquired through Cadence’s merger with Industry Bancshares. The branch locations in Brenham, Bellville, Industry, La Grange, Fayetteville, Columbus and Shiner employ nearly 150 people.
Mueller has worked in nearly every area of the banking industry and said he is excited to help foster a positive environment for team members and customers. He said, “While bringing the enthusiasm for community banking to our Bluebonnet division branches, my team and I will stay true to Cadence’s mission of helping people, companies and communities prosper.”
Cadence Bank Texas Regional President Lester Lucy said Mueller has strong ties to the local communities in his division and that he “understands the importance of maintaining long-term, personal relationships with our customers.”
Mueller graduated from Texas A&M University and completed advanced coursework at the Southwestern School of Banking and the Texas Tech School of Banking. He serves on the Blinn College Foundation Board of Directors, is a member of the Bellville Lions Club and attends St. John’s Lutheran Church. He and his wife, Karen, have two grown children.
In other news with Cadence Bank, Michelle Hodge has been promoted to deputy regional president and joins the Texas Region leadership team led by Lester Lucy. Hodge was most recently in a leadership role with Industry Bancshares and joined Cadence after this summer’s merger.
