HORTICULTURALIST SKIP RICHTER TO APPEAR SATURDAY AT BRENHAM ACE HARDWARE
A longtime horticulturalist will make a stop in Brenham on Saturday.

Skip Richter will visit Brenham Ace Hardware, 307 North Austin Parkway, from noon to 2 p.m. to meet with residents and answer lawn and garden questions. He will also be giving away bags of fall fertilizer.
Richter is a well-known speaker for garden clubs, Master Gardener programs and other gardening events across Texas. He has written numerous gardening articles for magazines and newspapers, and he hosts the GardenLine show on KTRH 740 AM in Houston on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 to 10 a.m.
Richter received his master’s degree in horticulture from Texas A&M University and has worked for 34 years with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Montgomery, Travis, Harris and Brazos counties. He has served as the National Gardening Association’s regional horticulturist for the southeastern United States and was selected as a Regents Service Fellow by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
