WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO HOLD WORKSHOP ON COUNTY BRANDING

Washington County Commissioners have multiple workshop items to consider when they meet on Tuesday.

The first topic in work session will be a discussion on the county’s branding, including the county seal and logo.  The commissioners court last held a workshop on the matter in June 2023, examining the possibility of updating the design of the county seal for better consistency among county offices and departments.

Commissioners will also take up two human resources-related discussion items, one for the job description of a chief of staff position and another about a leadership evaluation form.

In regular session, the court will look to authorize the county auditor to advertise and solicit sealed bids for an emergency power generator project in accordance with purchasing requirements of the county and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Bids would be due by Thursday, December 4th.

Commissioners will also act on approving the official bond for Travis Semora for the office of Justice of the Peace of Precinct 2.  Semora was appointed at the court’s most recent meeting to fill the vacancy created after Judge Douglas Cone announced he will run for county judge next year.

Additionally, commissioners will review the EMS Department’s third quarter report.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
