ASSAULT, CRIMINAL TRESPASS AMONG CHARGES FROM THREE WEEKEND ARRESTS BY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests over the weekend, including two for assault and one for criminal trespass.
Close to 9:45 p.m. Friday, Deputy Delilah Pena responded to the 8700 block of Highway 290 East in reference to a person trespassing on the property. Upon arrival, the sheriff’s office says the suspect, identified as 59-year-old Joe Lee Phillips of Brenham, was found to have a criminal trespass warning on file for the location. Phillips was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Criminal Trespass.
A few minutes shy of 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Corporal Luis Pizarro responded to a verbal disturbance in the 6800 block of Taplin Lane. After making contact, the sheriff’s office determined that one of the parties involved had an active warrant. 22-year-old Serena Marie Blevins of Burton was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Assault of Hospital Personnel on Hospital Property.
Just past 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Deputy Jacob Faske responded to a possible stolen vehicle call in the 1800 block of Old Navasota Road. During the course of interviewing the parties involved, deputies determined that a vehicle was not actually stolen, but that a physical altercation had taken place. After further investigation, 17-year-old Marcus Allen Hill of Brenham was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Aggravated Assault of a Date, Family or Household Member with a Deadly Weapon.
