CITY OF BRENHAM ISSUES $2.09 MILLION IN OCTOBER BUILDING PERMITS

Over half of that total was from three residential permits for new homes, coming out to $1,234,897. Two of those permits were for homes on Oak Hollow Lane, one for $670,000 and the other for $487,197.
For the year, 185 new home permits have been issued for $33,115,475.
Other notable permits for the month included a $353,000 permit for removing and replacing the roof at Grocery Supply Company, 510 West First Street, and a $280,000 permit issued to Heather Thielemann for remodeling the office building at 215 West commerce Street.
The city’s $2,092,572 on 14 permits fall below what was recorded in October 2024. Last October saw $5,399,599 on 24 permits.
Through 2025, the city has granted 369 permits worth $71,358,366, compared to 270 permits for $43,665,794 at this time a year ago.
