DEADLY CONDUCT, VEHICLE BURGLARY AMONG CHARGES IN THREE SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported three arrests between Monday and early this (Thursday) morning.

A few minutes past 10:15 p.m. Monday, Deputy Jacob Faske initiated a traffic stop at Highway 290 East and Wonder Hill Road for a defective tail lamp.  Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana and conducted a search of the vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of a vape pen that tested positive for THC.  The driver, 19-year-old Kennedi Danielle Nutt of Houston, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was charged with Possession of Tobacco by a Minor and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams.

At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were dispatched to the 12800 block of FM 50 in reference to a person with an active warrant.  Upon arrival, deputies were advised by family members that the subject was not there and that they had not seen him.  Deputies then spoke with a neighbor, who stated that the subject was at a different residence.  Deputies received permission to search the house where the subject was located.  26-year-old Edward Wayne Daniels of Brenham was taken into custody and transferred to the Washington County Jail for Deadly Conduct – Discharge of a Firearm.

Just after midnight today, Sergeant Adam Zavala conducted a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Highway 105 for speeding.  According to the sheriff’s office, the driver was found to have a suspended license along with an active warrant.  Additionally, marijuana was located during an inventory search of the vehicle.  38-year-old Tamendreon O’Bryon Phillips of Hempstead was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, and Burglary of Vehicles.
