BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS TO ACCIDENT, ILLEGAL BURNING

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Thursday.

Around 9:45 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a transportation incident at Highway 290 West and Highway 36 North.  They made location to find a two-vehicle accident with fluids on the roadway.  The department cleaned the roadway and returned to service once the vehicles were removed from the scene.

Shortly after 6:30 p.m., BFD members went out to a report of illegal burning at a home in the 2600 block of Old Masonic Road.  Upon arrival, they found a small fire burning by the roadway, extinguished the fire and advised the residents of the active burn ban.
