SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR DWI, INVALID LICENSE
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrests of two individuals between Thursday and Saturday.
Just past 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Deputy Delilah Pena conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Highway 290 West for speeding and defective equipment. The driver, 31-year-old Esteban Flores Sapaugh of Houston, was found to have an active warrant and was taken into custody. Sapaugh was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sergeant Adam Zavala conducted a welfare concern pertaining to a vehicle in the 1700 block of North Park Street. The driver was found to be asleep, and an alcohol container was observed in full view. The sheriff’s office reported that the driver showed signs of intoxication. After further investigation, 31-year-old Tremund Datrel Moore of Washington was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.
