BURN BARREL FIRE AMONG FOUR CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FD

  

The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Tuesday.

At 9:45 p.m., units went out to a fire alarm at a home in the 1100 block of South Day Street.  However, they did not find anything wrong at the location.

Shortly past 11 p.m., BFD personnel responded to a fire investigation at a home in the 100 block of South Dixie Street.  When they arrived, they found a small burn barrel.  They extinguished the fire and advised the homeowner of the city ordinance.

The department also went out for two gas odor calls, one at 2:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Dillon Street and the other just before midnight in the 500 block of Dark Street.  For both calls, firefighters stood by for the City of Brenham Gas Department to make location and release them from the scene.
