BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A Brenham man is charged with assault after his arrest by Brenham police on Wednesday.
At 5:15 p.m., Officer Zachary Heinecke was dispatched to an assault located in the 900 block of North Park Street.
Police say their investigation revealed that 70-year-old Robert Knittel allegedly assaulted a victim by punching him in the face.
Knittel was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
