CUB BASEBALL’S HART AND BENTKE SIGN LETTERS OF INTENT

Two members of the Brenham Cub Baseball Team have signed their National Letters of Intent.

Brenham Cub Seniors Dalton Hart and Drake Bentke put pen to paper before an audience of family, friends, and fans in the Brenham High School Gym.

Hart, who joined the Cubs last season as a junior, was the team's starting shortstop. He had an impressive .901 fielding percentage.

At the plate, Hart had a .314 batting average, a .392 on-base percentage, five doubles, one home run, 25 RBIs, 27 runs scored, and ten stolen bases.

He has signed with Blinn College, where he will play for his dad, Dusty Hart, who is about to enter his fourth season as the Blinn Head Baseball Coach.

Meanwhile, Drake Bentke, who is about to begin his fourth season with the Cub Varsity, signed with the University of Pennsylvania.

Last season, as a junior, Bentke had a .354 batting average, a .421 on-base percentage, a .625 slugging percentage, nine doubles, one triple, five homers, 33 RBIS, and 20 runs scored.

He is the son of former Brenham Cub Baseball standout Matt Bentke.
