BLINN COLLEGE TO PRESENT “SOUNDS OF THE SEASON”

  

The Blinn College District Music Program will hold a series of concerts to end the year, highlighted by the popular “Sounds of the Season” at Festival Hill in Round Top.

Blinn’s acclaimed Wind Symphony and combined choirs will perform at “Sounds of the Season” on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. at Festival Hill’s 800-seat concert hall. Tickets are $10 and are available at www.blinn.edu/boxoffice.

Other concerts are free and open to the public:

  • Chamber Brass, Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center on the Brenham Campus;
  • Chamber Woodwinds, Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in Finke Recital Hall in the Schmidt Building, 800 College Avenue on the Brenham Campus;
  • Jazz Ensemble, Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. at the O’Donnell Center;
  • Symphonic Band, Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. in the O’Donnell Center;
  • “The Greatest Gift,” a Christmas concert, Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1400 Niebuhr St. in Brenham; and
  • Percussion Ensemble, Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the O’Donnell Center.

Choirs are under the direction of Choir Director Dr. Larry Smith.
