BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD THEIR NEXT MEETING ON THURSDAY
The Brenham City Council will hold their next monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Council members just have two action items on their regular session agenda. They will discuss and act upon an ordinance on its first reading that will amend the City of Brenham's Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Adopted Budget.
The second item is going to be a resolution to adopt the 2024-2029 Washington County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
On the Council's consent agenda are purchases for two city departments. The Street Department is seeking to purchase a Chevy Silverado 3500 pickup truck from Caldwell Country Chevrolet in the amount of $62,249, and allow Brenham Mayor Atwood Kenjura to execute any necessary documentation.
The second consent agenda item is to purchase life safety equipment for the Brenham Fire Department from MES Texas, in the amount of $94,560.64. The purchase includes 30 regulator assembles, 57 face masks, and 32 voice amplifiers.
The Council will also be introduced to Brenham Police Officers NaVone Gurley and Eric Crosby at the meeting.
The Brenham City Council meets tomorrow (Thursday) at 1pm at the Brenham City Hall.
