LADY PANTHER BASKETBALL CAPTURES CHAMPIONSHIP AT CALDWELL TOURNAMENT
The Burton Lady Panther Basketball Team continued their great start to the season with a 68-39 victory over Centerville to win the Caldwell Tournament Championship.
The victory also improved their record to 9-0.
Burton just dominated the first half by outscoring Centerville 22-6 in the first quarter, and 18-10 in the second quarter, which gave them a 40-16 lead at the half.
In addition to that, the Lady Panthers would outscore the Lady Tigers 17-12 in the third quarter as well. The two sides broke even in the fourth quarter with each scoring 11 points.
Harper Hodde led Burton with 26 points. Valerie Hernandez added 15 points. Aerynn Huntsman finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Next up, for the Lady Panthers, they will host Normangee this (Monday) morning at 10am.
