WASHINGTON CO. DISTRICT CLERK’S OFFICE UNABLE TO ACCEPT FILINGS DURING CLOSURE
As the Washington County District Clerk’s Office remains closed this week for previously scheduled renovations and for Thanksgiving, the office says it cannot receive or process any filings.
District Clerk Carli Koehne says office staff members currently have no access to their physical workspace, filing systems or technology.
Koehne says anyone who needs emergency relief must send their proposed orders directly to the appropriate judge by email, as the court retains the sole authority to review and rule on emergency matters.
Once renovations are complete and system access is restored, the office will resume its normal role in processing filings for the court. The county’s initial notice last month about the scheduled construction indicated that it planned to re-open the office space on Monday, December 1st.
