NAVASOTA TO CELEBRATE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The City of Navasota invites the public to celebrate the holiday season at the annual Home for the Holidays, A Navasota Christmas. The event, which will be held on Saturday, December 13, is a free family-friendly celebration filled with festive fun for all ages.
Event highlights include the Navasota Farmers Market from 9am-1pm. Shoppers can start their morning at the Navasota Public Library, where local vendors will have unique and seasonal items.
Then comes “A Navasota Christmas”from 1-5pm.Guests can enjoy free photos with Santa Claus at the Navasota City Hall, bounce houses, Polar Express train rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more.
There is also Santa’s Village, which will be brimming with holiday cheer, gifts, and surprises.
Visitors can warm up with complimentary hot chocolate. In addition to that, there will be Christmas cookie decorating with Navasota High School Culinary Classes while holiday music fills the air.
The Lighted Parade, which begins at 6pm, will feature floats and festive displays traveling down Washington Avenue.
Afterwards, parade goers can head to City Hall for the community tree lighting ceremony with remarks from Mayor Bert Miller and carols performed by the Navasota High School Choir.

For the first time ever, Home for the Holidays will feature live music immediately following the Christmas Tree Lighting.
Guests can enjoy an exciting Dueling Pianos performance by Piano Punch, bringing a fun and interactive musical experience to cap off the evening.
