CUBETTE BASKETBALL DEFEATS WALLER 59-46 FOR THEIR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team earned their fifth straight win last (Tuesday) night with a 59-46 victory over the Waller Lady Bulldogs.

The Cubettes jumped out to the early lead by outscoring Waller 17-8 in the first quarter. Brenham also won the second quarter 16-8, and led the game 33-16 at halftime.

The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Cubettes 15-11 in the third quarter to cut the lead to 44-31, but that would be as close as they would get.

The two teams broke even with a 15-15 fourth quarter. With the win, Brenham is now 10-2 on the season.

Carmen McWilliams led the Cubettes with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and an assist.

Antyiahna Lang added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, and a steal.

Next Up:

The Cubettes will be taking part in the Navasota Rattler Shootout, which runs Thursday-Saturday. On Thursday, they are going to face Austin Crockett at 1pm, and LaPorte at 5:30pm. On Friday, Brenham plays Burton at 1pm and Wharton at 5:30pm. They will then wrap it up on Saturday against Stafford at 10:30am, and Waller at 1:30pm.
