After another outstanding season that saw them finish as State Semifinalists, the Bellville Brahmanette Volleyball Program will be well represented at a big event this weekend.

Head Coach Susan Brewer, Middle Blocker Rebecca Lucksinger, and Setter Chloe Brandt are taking part in the Greater Houston Area Volleyball Coaches Association All Star Matches.

Chloe Brandt (Bellville ISD)

The matches are being held tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm and 7pm at Phillips Arena in Pasadena, Texas.

48 players were selected and then divided into four teams of 12. Brewer will coach the Red Team, with Lucksinger and Brandt as two of her players.

The Brahmanettes went 36-14 on the season, and also won the District 22-4A Championship with a perfect 10-0 record.

Lucksinger was the District MVP, while Brandt was chosen as the Setter of the Year.

Susan Brewer (Bellville ISD)

Bellville opened the playoffs with three set sweeps over Stafford in Bi-District and China Spring in the Area Round.

They would then outlast Lumberton 3-2 in the Region Semifinals, and then sweep Bullard in the Region Championship match to advance to the State Semifinals.

Bellville, who came in riding a 17-match winning streak, lost to La Vernia. La Vernia went on to lose to Decatur in the State Championship Match.
